1.2311 (MCM)

2738 should be preferred in molds where the hardness is required to be almost at the same level until the core and for better gloss properties.

1.2312 (MCMS)

Plastic mould steel with additional sulphur, usually supplied in a quenched and tempered condition. Polishable, better machinibility compared to 1.2311. Similar to AISI P20+S.

1.2316 (R65)

Stainless martensitic steel with increased Cr-content for improved corrosion resistance. This grade is usually supplied in a quenched and tempered condition. Good polishability.

1.4034 (R45)

It is stainless martensitic steel. It has very good polishability and hardenability. Can be used in moderately aggressive, chlorine-free environments. It can be welded. It can also be used in tool and mold making.
