It is a cold work steel with 12% chromium ledeburitic structure.
It has a very high wear resistance due to the high carbide content in the structure.
It is the wolfram addition of 2080 steel. Its hardening ability towards the core is
better than 2080 steel. Its toughness is also higher. There is no secondary hardening feature.
Its wear resistance is higher than 2379 and its toughness is lower. It is preferred in cutting and
bending molds of thin sheets, pressing molds of abrasive powders, rolling rollers and cutting
molds of siliceous sheets.
