1.2714 (A50)

Description

It is a medium to large scale hot forging die steel that can be delivered in both the hard (37 – 42 RC) and annealed condition.

It can also be used in hot shear blades, in plastic injection molds where gloss is not important, and in pressing tools.

However, in cases where it is insufficient, 2344 or 2367 should be passed. There is a risk of breakage at working hardnesses above 42 RC
