These elements increase the tensile strength without much effect on the elongation properties.
These alloys containing multiple elements are called high strength brasses. Corrosion resistance is excellent.
We have, three types of high-strength brasses are produced and composition-specific production can be made.
Cuprass 1: It has a moderate slip feature. It is used as a compression nut in rolling mills and screw presses, as well as in ship propellers. (Hardness 120 HB)
Cuprass 2: It is a hard material with high strength. Construction parts, machine parts, etc. operating under static load. is also used. (Hardness 160 HB)
Cuprass 3: It is a high strength hard brass. It is used in the manufacture of bearings, worm screws and gears operating at high and low speeds. (Hardness 190 HB)
